Better than most!


This Youtube user has made this EKG video available for others to use in their artwork. On its face it appears fine, however using the square counting method of rate estimation we find the heart rate to be 25. You'll also notice a wicked 1st degree AV block, and a perhaps questionable QT interval. Otherwise, it certainly isn't the worst we have ever seen!

    Isn't it Russian? In post-Soviet countries the default ECG speed is 50 mm/s (sometimes even 100 mm/s!) instead of 25 mm/s.

    1. I had no idea! How culturally incompetent of me. Are there any benefits to the faster speed?
