The Stupid Heart Rhythms project documents and spreads and awareness of the bad and wrong cardiac rhythms ubiquitous in modern day advertising. If you are using an EKG to shamelessly pimp your health related cause, you should at least take the time to do it right.

Buried Treasure and PBR
SHR reader Jason E Roediger, CCT recently emailed with a hot tip pointing me toward a wealth of sh*tty EKG clip art on Microsoft Word.
This stuff could very well be the worst EKG clip art we have seen so far during the Stupid Heart Rhythm's archival project. To think that a multi-billion dollar software package could be released with such glaring medical errors is disheartening to say the least. I did a quick google search for the amount of money Microsoft has earned from the Office suite, and here's what I came up with:
Business (Office, Exchange, SharePoint)
Operating income: $15,719,000,000
They made nearly $16 billion from our ignorance and stupidity just in the 2011 FY alone.
This one should be familiar to you from previous postings:
Jason believes that this graphic, which has reached near-omnipresent status on the internet, originated from Microsoft Word. Sure enough, it was right in there with the other crappy clip art.
But enough about EKGs for a moment. I want to talk about the direction our country is headed. We are in dire straights people. Our economy is in the toilet, people are out of work.. that's why now, more than ever, it's important to buy American. And when you purchase American made products, you shouldn't buy just anything, you should buy from a company decent enough to tell you the truth. That's why I recommend Pabst Blue Ribbon:
Pabst Blue Ribbon doesn't lie to you. It isn't smooth. It isn't drinkable. But it's American, and that's what is good about it. Now that's truth in advertising.
